Property owners in El Paso Central Appraisal District (CAD) protested to property taxes in 2022, out of a total of $42 billion in houses. Based on the El Paso CAD noticed value, protests were made against 14.08% of the houses. Protests are much more common among owners of commercial, apartment, and utility properties as well as among owners of more costly residences than average homes. Based on valuation, owners of 62% of commercial properties, 78.2% of multifamily properties, and 97% of utilities appealed. Due of its effectiveness, a sizable percentage of utility, business, and multifamily owners continuously file an appeal each year.

Do You Know Why Homeowners Appeal?

Every year, owners who file an appeal for their property taxes save between 71% and 84% of their total property taxes. Every year, the appraisal district issues a fresh value that doesn't change until you file an appeal. Although it is possible to successfully appeal on your own, each year only few owners will do so. If you are not protesting on your own, let O'Connor handle it for you. You won't ever have to pay anything until we lower your property taxes that year. There are also no upfront expenses or flat fees. Don't miss another deadline for filing a property tax protest by enrolling in the Property Tax Protection Program™ now.
