Denton County Appraisal District 2022 Houses Property Tax Protest Summary
In 2022, out of a total of $111 billion in property taxes, owners of $33 billion in homes filed protests with the Denton Central Appraisal District (CAD). Protests were filed against 30.5% of the properties based on the Denton CAD noticed value. Compared to owners of ordinary houses, owners of more costly homes are more inclined to protest. Protests are much more common among owners of utilities, commercial space, and apartments. 97% of commercial, 71% of multifamily, and 1% of utility owners filed value-based appeals in 2022. Due of its effectiveness, a sizable percentage of utility, business, and multifamily owners continuously file appeals each year.
Do You Know the Secret?
Every year, owners who file an appeal for their property taxes save money on property taxes in around 68–77% of cases. Every year, the appraisal district produces a new figure that, barring your appeal, won't change. You may successfully protest on your own, however each year only few owners will file an independent appeal. If you are not protesting on your own, let O'Connor handle it for you. You never have to pay anything in advance until we lower your property taxes for that particular year. Join the Property Tax Protection Program™ right now.
