Tarrant County Tax Appraisal – 2022
The Tarrant Appraisal District (TAD) is governed by the Board of Directors.
Tax entities choose the members of the Tarrant CAD Board of Directors. The taxation authorities—counties, cities, special districts, and schools—are represented by the members.
Tarrant County has more than fifty-nine tax entities. The main responsibilities of the board of directors are to choose the chief appraiser and approve the budget, which exceeds $1 million for Tarrant CAD.
Is Anyone Representing You?
The board of directors is chosen by the tax entities, and it is their duty to represent the taxing authorities' interests. You are allowed to represent yourself in Tarrant CAD appeals.
Each year, protests amount to around 11% of the taxable value. If you are not protesting on your own, let us represent you. There is no enrollment fee. Never again overlook a deadline for property taxes. Make payment only if your property taxes are lowered that year.
