Bexar County Tax Appraisal – 2021

Here's a little tax inside scoop: the Bexar CAD has a board of directors that governs their activity. The members of this board are selected by tax entities like schools, cities, counties, and other special districts. In total, there are 66 entities in the county. The board is mainly responsible for approving CAD's budget ($18 M) and selecting the chief appraiser within CAD.

The members of the board, which is selected by these tax entities, are supposed to represent the interest of these entities. You are able to represent yourself in protests and appeals.
